In this episode, we continue our courageous conversation and the discussion of why #BlackLivesMatter, THEN and NOW!
The month of June would typically be a time of celebration for graduates, the start of summer vacation, and plenty of summer fun festivities! However, as the world continues to manage in a new norm, in the midst of a pandemic, the recent death of George Floyd, along with Ahmad Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, has amplified the social injustices and marginalization of Black people in America. This has been a time of revelation, in a world that has ignored and dismissed the effects of racism, and systemic oppression for the past 400+ years. We continue to amplify why #BlackLivesMatter and the importance of knowing the history #StayWoke
